Sent off as the short-priced favourite, Blue Point's Big Evs didn't disappoint as he won for fun in the G2 Flying Childers on 15 September. This becomes his second Group win following his victory in the G3 Molecomb Stakes last month.
Big Evs again wired the field as he did in the Molecomb, but unlike his first Group win, he was never threatened while putting on a brilliant display. Harry Angel's Rosario finished third.
Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Big Evs is out of the Oasis Dream mare Hana Lina, herself a daughter of G1-winning Champion Queen’s Logic. He is the fourth winner out of the mare.
Blue Point is the leading freshman sire in Europe by earnings and is also the leader by Black Type winners (4) and winners (35). He is also the sire of Rosallion, winner of the Pat Eddery Stakes at Royal Ascot, Action Point, winner of the Rose Bowl Stakes, Shady Lady, winner of the Prix du Haras de Bouquetot, along with Stakes-placed Les Bleus and Storm Miami.
He is covering this season at a fee of $44,000 inc. GST at Northwood Park.
