Blue Point is the only horse in history to win three G1 sprints at Royal Ascot and if those speed genes are passed on to his progeny, the emerging Darley stallion could become a phenomenon at stud.
His first two weanlings sold on the Australian market averaged $171,250, with his top colt Rifa Mustang-bred and offered by Sledmere Stud stopping the hammer at $290,000.

Newgate Farm’s Jim Carey pinhooked the son of Lady Loire, the Australian mare’s first foal.
“He’s a very straightforward, quality colt and he’ll come back here to a sale next year,” Carey told ANZ Bloodstock News.
“He’s off a great farm and it’s great to get a colt of that quality to sell through Newgate next year.
“He’s the first Blue Point I’ve seen and he’s a really nice colt.”
Blue Point won 11 races and was placed six times from 20 starts, while his four G1 victories were complemented by five placings in Stakes grade.
Blue Point was fully booked in his first two seasons, covering 58 Stakes winners and 38 Stakes-producing mares.
Those mares included G1 winners Kenedna, Sheidel, Forensics, Gold Edition, Russeting and Anamato - the dam of Australia’s champion three-year-old Anamoe.
Anamato now has a weanling filly by Blue Point and revisited Street Boss last year.
Blue Point returns to Northwood Park, Victoria in 2022 standing at an unchanged fee of $44,000 including GST.
