Deo Volente, a two-year-old son of Blue Point, easily won his first Stakes race on Sunday, 4 August. Racing at Istanbul in Turkey, he easily disposed of his six rivals by upwards of four-and-a-half lengths to win the Il. Inönü over 1200m.
Owned and bred by Ali Riza Çelikoglu, he is out of the Teofilo mare Starring Guest, who was purchased carrying Deo Volente in 2021 for €50,000 at Arqana.
Blue Point has now sired four Stakes winners in five days after Big Evs won the G2 King George Stakes and Raqiya the G3 Oak Tree Stakes at Glorious Goodwood, with Raknah landing the Listed Corrib Stakes at Galway.
