Windstormblack, a two-year-old son of Brazen Beau, maintained his unbeaten record when taking the G3 Premio Primi Passi at Milan on Sunday, 27 June.
A winner on debut in April, the colt stepped up to Group company for the first time, making all to win easily by five lengths. Windstormblack is now unbeaten in his three starts for trainer Sebastiano Guerrieri.
Bred by Lord Margadale and a graduate of the Tattersalls Ascot yearling sale, Windstormblack is the best performer from the winning Sakhee’s Secret mare Josefa Goya. She is a half-sister to G3 Hackwood Stakes victor Intrepid Jack out of an unraced half-sister to dual G2 winner Nicobar, sire of G1 Melbourne Cup hero Dunaden.
Brazen Beau is the sire of 14 Stakes winners including G1 winner On The Bubbles and stands the forthcoming season at Northwood Park, Victoria at a fee of $49,500 inc GST.
