Daughter of Brazen Beau lands Thousand Guineas

Another Prophet provided former champion galloper Brazen Beau with his third winner at the highest level and his 27th Stakes winner overall on Saturday, 16 November when she won the Thousand Guineas at Caulfield.

Beautifully ridden by Ethan Brown in fourth place till the home turn, Another Prophet grabbed the lead at the 200m mark and then held off Aeliana by a long neck to notch her first Black-Type success.

Too Darn Hot filly Too Darn Lizzie finished a game third 1.25 lengths away, after setting the pace for the majority of the 1,600m event.

Bred by Bell River Thoroughbreds in NSW out of the Australian mare Set To Skelter, who is also the dam of Stakes winners Prophet’s Thumb and More Prophets, Another Prophet, who has now earned prize-money and bonuses totalling $1,048,335 from six starts for Cranbourne trainer Ciaron Maher, has a two-year-old half-sister by Bivouac and a half-sister foal by Harry Angel.

razen Beau was a dual G1 winner (2014 Coolmore Stud Stakes and 2015 Newmarket Handicap) during his stellar 12-start career.

He is widely regarded as the best sire son of champion Australian stallion I Am Invincible and has now sired 319 winners of 911 races worldwide, including 27 Stakes winners of 45 Black-Type events. Another Prophet joins Zapateo and On The Bubbles as G1 winners by Brazen Beau.

The stallion stands at Darley’s Northwood Park property near Seymour in Victoria for a service fee of $33,000.
