First-season sire Brazen Beau has made an excellent impression with his first European runners and on Thursday, 6 June he took his tally of winners to five in fine style when his son Dubai Station was victorious at Haydock in the UK.
Always prominent under Jamie Spencer, Dubai Station was asked to quicken at the two furlong marker and despite a sustained challenge from eventual second Partridge, he kept to his task superbly to win by a length.
Dubai Station was bred by Hall of Fame Stud and is the first foal to race out of the Iffraaj">Iffraaj mare Princess Guest. The dam is herself a half-sister to the useful Black Type winner Imperial Guest, plus a further five winners.
Brazen Beau, currently second in the European first-season sires’ table, is also sire of the Listed winner and G2-placed Accession in Australia, currently favourite to take the G1 JJ Atkins Plate at Eagle Farm this Saturday.
Brazen Beau stands at $49,500, inc GST.
