Brazen Beau gained his first Group winner thanks to a brilliant display of raw speed by Colada to win the G2 Stan Fox Stakes at Randwick on Saturday, 12 October.
Taken to the front soon after the start in the 1,200m event, Colada opened up a four-length lead with 300m to run and was still two-and-a-half clear on the line.
Colada, who was scoring his second victory, is one of 20 individual winners by Brazen Beau who has also sired the Listed winners Accession in Australia and Avenger’s Queen in Italy.
Colada is a son of the Stakes-winning Volpini (USA) mare Clearly Foxy from the family of Pink Shoes, the dam of three Stakes winners.
Brazen Beau is standing the current southern hemisphere season at Northwood Park, Victoria at a fee of A$49,500, including GST.
