Brazen Beau is no stranger to Royal Ascot, having finished an incredibly close second in the G1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes back in 2015 and on Thursday, 16 June he ensured his name appeared in the record books once again as his son The Ridler landed the G2 Norfolk Stakes.

The Ridler was settled behind the early pace, racing down the centre of the track, during the early stages of the 1,000m contest. Ridden along approaching the 400m marker, he took the lead 200m out and moved clear in the closing stage to win by a length and three quarters.
The Ridler was bred by Smarden Thoroughbreds and is the second winner out of the Lope de Vega mare Colorada. They are from the family of Shamardal’s G1-winning sprinter Emaraaty Ana.
Brazen Beau, a dual G1 winner of the 2014 Coolmore Stud Stakes and the 2015 Newmarket Handicap at Flemington during his brilliant 12-start career, has already produced 19 Stakes winners.
