Three-year-old filly Kin, a daughter of dual G1 winner Impending, made light work of the 1,100m trip and barrier 14 on Saturday, 8 July at Caulfield.
Drawing the widest barrier in the 14-horse field, Kin jumped evenly and settled in a three-wide position in the last group with apprentice Celen Gaudray opting to take a sit and swoop late, a tactic which proved too good.
Kin recorded a blistering time of 1:04.06 over the 1,100m trip in Race 7 where one race later in the G3 Sir John Monash Stakes (1,100m), winner Sigh posted a slower time of 1:04.14.
The fast daughter of Impending was ranked as the Saturday meeting's fastest last 600m, 400m and 200m sectional times.

Impending's yearlings have made up to $260,000 and the son of Lonhro will stand this season at Northwood Park for $8,800 (inc GST).
