Tenacious Tenenbaum a new Stakes winner for Authorized
Authorized has been enjoying a successful spell of late, with impressive maiden winners aplenty and on 2 August, his three-year-old son Tenenbaum (who broke his maiden on his seasonal debut in May), successfully stepped up in class to land the Listed Prix de Reux at Deauville.
Trained by Andre Fabre, Tenenbaum made all in the 12-and-a-half-furlong contest and stayed on superbly, winning more cosily than the neck margin would suggest.
He has now won his last three starts, having been beaten just a head on his only start at two.
Bred by Brick Kiln Stud, Tenenbaum is out of the unraced Zafonic mare Al Hasnaa, a full sister to multiple Group winner Alrassaam and a half-sister to G1-winning sire Labeeb. Al Hasnaa is also dam of Dubawi’s Listed winner and Group performer Principe Adepto. She has a yearling colt by New Approach.
Authorized is also sire this year of multiple Stakes-winning juvenile Castello Aragonese, Turkey’s leading three-year-old Toruk Macto, plus G3 colt Mano Diao and fellow Stakes performers Colima, Ambivalent and Estrela.
Authorized stands at Kelvinside at a fee of $22,000 including GST.
