Street Boss colt wins in Listed Talindert Stakes at Flemington

Tentyris a possible Blue Diamond runner after bold showing at just second race start

A little race experience and a change in training routine helped Tentyris show his best in the Listed Talindert Stakes down the straight 1,100m course at Flemington on Saturday, 15 February.

Having just his second start after finishing a respectable fifth in fast time at Sandown on debut, Tentyris raced with the leaders before jockey Mark Zahra hit the accelerator.

Despite racing a touch greenly over the final 200m, Tentyris joined Shining Smile in the final bound to dead-heat.

Brave Decision three lengths away in third place in 1 minute 6.49 seconds on the slightly rain-affected surface.

Co-trained Anthony and Sam Freedman at Mornington and out of the Australian mare Deity, a daughter of four-time G1 winner Divine Madonna.

Tentyris has a yearling half-sister by Blue Point (IRE) and was covered by Anamoe last October.

Just one week after Another Wil became Street Boss’s 10th G1 winner, when he captured the C.F. Orr Stakes over 1,400m at Caulfield, and two weeks after Accomplished Girl won the Listed Robert Kelly Memorial over 1,100m at Fair Grounds in New Orleans and Bodock won the Listed President Ramon Clasico Mozos de Corral in Panama, Tentyris gave Street Boss his 989th winner worldwide.

That tally includes 78 individual Stakes-race winners of 156 Black-Type events.
