Pinstriped takes leap to G1 company in his giant stride.

Lightly raced six-year-old wins Memsie Stakes at Caulfield to give Street Boss another winner at highest level.

Pinstriped joined the best gallopers in Australia and became his sire Street Boss’ ninth G1-winner when the handsome chestnut finished powerfully to claim the Memsie Stakes on Saturday, 31 August at Caulfield.

Patiently ridden by Ben Allen, the six-year-old gelding stalked the leaders to the home turn before grabbing Mr Brightside in the final 100m to win by a long neck. Gentleman Roy was third, another 2.25 lengths away as the winner stopped the clock on a slick 1 minute 22.66 seconds for the 1,400m journey.

A dual Black-Type winner before Saturday of the Feehan Stakes and C.S. Hayes Stakes in Melbourne, Pinstriped took his record to seven wins and six placings for Cranbourne trainer Enver Jusufovic – who also collected his first winner at the highest level.

Out of the Australian mare Snitzel Blitz, Pinstriped joined former Australian champion Anamoe (9), Cathryn Sophia, The Quarterback, Elite Street, Danza, Capo Bastone, Decked Out and Fair Maiden as G1-winners sired by Street Boss.

The US-bred Darley stallion has 954 winners worldwide of 2813 races, with his 72 Stakes-race winners winning a combined 144 Black-Type events.

Jusufovic and Gary Mudgway Bloodstock paid $80,000 for Pinstriped at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Weanling Sale and the horse has now earned A$1,690,450 in prize money.

Street Boss again leads the roster at Darley’s Northwood Park in Victoria for a service fee of $66,000, including GST.
