First-season sire Poet's Voice sired his third Stakes winner of the season when his son Poeta Diletto landed the G3 Premio Guido Berardelli, defeating his paternal half-brother Voice Of Love, who was already a Listed winner, into second. A debut second at Milan in September, he came into the contest on the back of a five length maiden triumph on the same course.
Bred by Scuderia Blueberry, Poeta Diletto is the second foal of the Stakes-winning mare Mia Diletta (Selkirk) and a half-brother to the Stakes-placed juvenile Mia Eccellenza (Exceed And Excel).
Poet’s Voice has now sired three Stakes-winning juveniles in his debut season, more than his illustrious sire Dubawi managed in his first year. Amongst his 16 winners are fellow Stakes-winner Whitman and the impressive multiple scorers Bathos and Montsarrat. He is standing this season at a fee of $11,000 inc GST.
