Listed glory for Miblish
Miblish, from the first crop of Teofilo, gained his first success at Stakes level when making all the running in the Listed Magnolia Stakes over 10f at Kempton Park. The Clive Brittain trained colt was highly tried at three, but had shown his well-being last month when a close second to G1-winner Planteur in the Winter Derby Trial at Lingfield.
Bred by N E Poole and George Thornton, he is out of the Hector Protector mare Triton Dance, herself a juvenile winner and a half-sister to the G2-winning juvenile filly Jewel In The Sand.
Teofilo sired Dewhurst Stakes winner Parish Hall from his first crop, with G1-winning juvenile Loch Garman from his second. Other three-year-olds to look forward this season include multiple Stakes-winner Havana Gold, G3 Autumn Stakes winner Trading Leather and the well-entered G1 juvenile filly Roz. Teofilo stands at Kildangan Stud in Ireland for €35,000 Oct 1st, SLF.
