First season sire Harry Angel sired a new winner on Sunday, 3 July when his juvenile son Marshman struck on debut at Ayr. Trained by Karl Burke, he was slow away from the stalls, but soon travelled well behind the leaders and wasn’t troubled to record a one-and-three-quarter length victory.
Bred by Highbank Stud and a 38,000gns breeze-up purchase, Marshman is a son of the winning Galileo mare White Rosa, a daughter of the G1-placed juvenile Dhanyata.
Champion sprinter Harry Angel has now sired four individual winners after French debutant Vicious Harry, who was subsequently second in the Listed Prix La Fleche, and the highly-rated pair Harry Time and Redemption Time. Harry Angel will be standing this coming season at a fee of $16,500 Inc GST.
