Harry Angel’s progressive three-year-old daughter, Fair Angellica, made a successful step up into Stakes company to win her first race at this level when landing the Listed Prix Amandine at Deauville, France on Sunday, 7 July.
The Richard Hughes-trained filly broke well and was soon settled to track the leaders, she began to make good headway with just over 300m to run and soon hit the front. She stayed on well under Rayn Moore to score by a comfortable length and three-quarters in the 1400m contest.

Unbeaten in three starts last term, Fair Angellica is now the winner of five races from seven starts.
Bred in Great Britain by Jarosa Stud, Fair Angellica is the first foal out of the Lawman mare, Fair’s Fair whose dam, Winning Sequence, is a half-sister to Prix Saint-Alary winner, Coquerelle.
Harry Angel is now the sire of 13 individual Black Type winners, they are headed by his G1-winning son Tom Kitten (Spring Champion Stakes). So far this year, he has recorded 10 Stakes performers, including G3 winners A Lilac Rolla (Priory Belle Stakes) and Esquire (Greenham Stakes).
