Hunterview (pictured) was not for passing when making all to win at Beverley on Tuesday but he did have to settle for a dead-heat with Kudu Country when becoming Reset's fifth European winner.
Having been a close third on his debut at Leicester a fortnight ago, Hunterview jumped out smartly and led from the gate in testing conditions. He was challenged in the straight by Kudu Country but stuck resolutely to his task, battling on to the line to share the spoils in the seven-furlong (1400m) maiden.
The Darley-bred colt races for Sheikh Ahmed al Maktoum and is a half-brother to Group One runner-up Strobilus. Their dam Mount Elbrus is out of Eljazirah, a full-sister to Prix de Diane winner Rafha, the dam of Invincible Spirit.
Reset, also sire of Listed winner Saxford in Britain and the G3 winner Rebel Raider in Australia, has had a successful week following the victories of Wave Aside at Newbury on Friday and Hit The Switch in Scotland on Monday.
