Keen Commander, by Darley stallion Commands, recorded his second victory at Stakes level at Randwick on Saturday when taking the Listed Lightning Handicap over 1100m.
The winner of the Starlight Stakes last season, he was an excellent third in the G2 The Shorts at Randwick on his last start. He has now won six of his 19 races and earned more than $390,000.
Bred by Mr & Mrs Casson, he is a half-brother to five winners including Listed placed Canny Lad filly, Bouchette.
Fellow Darley stallion, Reset has also been enjoying a purple patch recently and he sired his third winner in three days on Friday when Reconcentrate landed a Maiden at Mornington by an easy six-lengths.
The sire of Rebel Raider and Likefatherlikeson from his first crop in Australia, Reset has also made a good start in Europe through the tough and progressive Saxford and the promising Wave Aside.
