Bred by Mr Robert Gall of NSW, two-year-old Ad Valorem colt Tax Evader became the first of his progeny to trial this season, recording a three-quarter length victory on his home track of Toowoomba.
Offered under the banner of Murrulla Stud as agent, the colt was purchased by Mr D Silver from the 2010 Inglis Classic yearling sale for $16,000.
A half-brother to two winners; the Scone Inglis Challenge winner Hewentwoosh (Dane Shadow) and multiple winner Whiskey Trader (Untouchable), the colt is from the winning Barathea mare Zebithea. From the family of Stakes winners Royal Sonata, Master McGinty, Mr Starstruck and Senator, the colt displayed obvious juvenile ability in his trial, while his pedigree suggests he would be capable of training on, just like his sire.
Already having his first northern hemisphere crop on the track, Ad Valorem (pictured) has been represented by nine individual winners from 32 runners highlighted by the Stakes winning filly Samaden.
An undefeated G1-winning Champion juvenile who won the G1 Middle Park, Britain’s top 1200m race for two-year-olds, Ad Valorem will cover his fourth book of mares this season from his Darley Kelvinside base at a fee of $11,000 including GST.
