Two For Ad Valorem

Freshman sire Ad Valorem recorded his second winner in Australia with Uate winning on debut at Newcastle today.

Trained by local conditioner, Kris Lees, Uate proved too swift for his rivals, careering away to win by a length-and-a-half.  The colt is out of the Over mare Long Walk, who descends from the family of G3 winner Cannibal King.

Ad Valorem, a G1-winning son of Danzig, has winners already in the northern hemisphere including Stakes winner Samaden and will be represented by two yearlings at this week’s Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale. Ad Valorem himself was an undefeated champion juvenile who went on to win the G1 Queen Anne as a four-year-old and now stands at Darley’s Kelvinside stud. In 2010 he covered a strong book of 112 mares.
