Exceed And Excel proved again he was still at the top of his game with the sale of his yearling filly from More Than Real for $1.2m at Tuesday’s opening session of the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.
The latest member of the million-dollar club was Lot 137, a filly from the winning More Than Ready mare More Than Real offered by Kia Ora Stud went to Hermitage Thoroughbreds.
The filly is the fourth foal of her dam and is a half-sister to the Stakes winner Miss Debutante and has a pedigree that features a long list of North American Stakes winners.
Now in his 19th year at stud, Exceed And Excel remains the world’s leading sire of juvenile Stakes winners, a reputation recently enhanced by the wins of Microphone in last Saturday’s G1 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes and Bivouac in the G3 Kindergarten Stakes.
They are among Exceed And Excel’s 156 Stakes winners.
