Bernardini filly Forever Discreet noses out Street Cry filly Star Fashion

It was a quinella for Darley stallions in the Listed Morphettville Guineas with Bernardini filly Forever Discreet defeating Street Cry filly Star Fashion by the narrowest of margins in the 1600m event for three-year-olds at Morphettville, September 14.

Both maidens heading in to the event, the fillies showed there will be further wins in store for both of them, clearing out from the rest of the field over the concluding stages.

Bred by David Peacock, Forever Discreet is out of Euclase mare She’s Discreet, making her a half-sister to multiple Stakes-winning Elusive Quality mare I’m Discreet and Listed winner and G1-placegetter Very Discreet who was a daughter of Exceed And Excel.

Forever Discreet is the 23rd Stakes winner for Bernardini who is the sire of six G1 winners including New Zealand’s Champion juvenile Ruud Awakening and recent G1 Woodward Stakes winner Alpha.

Bernardini is standing the current breeding season at a fee of $33,000 inc. GST alongside Street Cry who is standing at $110,000 inc. GST.
