Less than 24 hours after Shocking underlined his claims for a serious tilt at a second Melbourne Cup with victory in the G2 Makybe Diva Stakes, Saratoga witnessed the latest top-flight winner for Street Cry when Here Comes Ben romped home to win the G1 Forego Handicap.
Winner of the Listed Kelly’s Landing Stakes in June, the four-year-old was bred by Marianne and Brandon Chase and is out of the Dayjur mare Chasetheragingwind.
Here Comes Ben joins an illustrious list of stand-out winners by Street Cry, including the aforementioned Cup hero, the Caulfield Guineas winner Whobegotyou, Kentucky Derby winner and Darley sire Street Sense and the top-notch sprinter Street Boss, who also stands on the Darley roster.
