Saturday Romp clears out at Turfway Park

Daughter of Any Given Saturday becomes the 8th winner for her sire

After finishing just behind the placegetters at her last start, the James E Baker-trained two-year-old Any Given Saturday filly Saturday Romp took out the one mile contest at Turfway Park on December 27.

Bred by Gulf Coast Farms, LLC, Saturday Romp is out of the Stakes-winning Pancho Villa mare Showmetothevilla, and comes from the family of G1 Monmouth Oaks winner Without Feathers.

Any Given Saturday, winner of the G1 Haskell over Horse of the Year Curlin and North American Leading Freshman Sire Hard Spun, is siring progressive winners in North America and Europe including Sunday’s Child and Ittasal.

Having just finished covering his fourth southern hemisphere book of mares at Darley’s Northwood Park, Any Given Saturday will be represented by three yearlings at both the Magic Millions Adelaide yearling sale and the Inglis Premier yearling sale in the coming months.
