Hard Enough makes it two in a row at Monmouth

Hard Spun colt wins Restoration Stakes

Hard Spun three-year-old Hard Enough made another trip to the winner's circle August 17 with a score in the Restoration Stakes at Monmouth Park. It was the second victory in a row for the colt, who took the Jersey Derby July 20.

In the 1700m turf race Hard Enough broke well and went to the front. Into the stretch the colt held his lead, and fought down the straight for the win.

Bred by Larry Johnson, Hard Enough is out of the Mr Greeley mare Grecian Wings, a Stakes winner herself of the Twist Afleet Stakes.

Hard Spun has sired a total of 23 Stakes winners and 19 Graded/Group performers to date in his career. They include Eclipse Champion Three-Year-Old Filly Questing and G1-winning filly Zo Impressive, while his Australian Stakes winners include the undefeated Royal Haunt. His lightly-raced but highly promising daughter Text'n Hurley posted her third consecutive win at Caulfield yesterday and he also has unbeaten three-year-old Late Charge heading towards the feature Spring races.

Hard Spun will stand the coming season at Northwood Park at a fee of $16,500 inc. GST.
