Exclusive Diva takes the spotlight in Washington State Legislators Handicap

Bernardini filly wins her fourth Stakes

Bernardini's always consistent daughter Exclusive Diva earned her fourth Stakes victory June 9 in the Listed Washington State Legislators Handicap at Emerald Downs. The four-year-old mare has won or placed in every lifetime start.

In the 1300m race, Exclusive Diva traveled in third position and with 400m to run she loomed on the outside to take the lead, and sailed in the straight for an easy victory.

A homebred for Northwest Farms LLC, Exclusive Diva is out of G3 winner and G1 Humana Distaff-placed Puxa Saco, by Dehere.

An outstanding young sire, Bernardini has been represented six G1 winners and 10 G1 horses. They include two G1 Travers Stakes winners in Alpha and Stay Thirsty, as well as multiple G1 winner To Honor And Serve. He has sired a total of 21 Stakes winners to date.

The leading two-year-old sire in New Zealand due to his G1-winning daughter Ruud Awakening, Bernardini will stand the coming breeding season at Kelvinside at a fee of $33,000 (inc. GST).
