A full list of stud fees has been announced for the 23 Darley stallions that will stand in New South Wales, Victoria and New Zealand for the forthcoming breeding season with world-leaders Exceed And Excel and Medaglia d’Oro (pictured) once again heading the roster, both standing at $110,000 (inc. GST).
Record-breaking sprinter Exosphere will stand alongside his outstanding sire Lonhro at Kelvinside in New South Wales at a fee of $27,500 (inc. GST). Winner of both the G1 Golden Rose (1400m) and G2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) in record time, Exosphere also claimed the G2 Run To The Rose and was a dominant winner of the G2 Skyline Stakes as a juvenile. He retires as the highest rated three-year-old currently in Australia.
Multiple G1 winner Night Of Thunder will stand at Northwood Park in Victoria for $16,500 (inc. GST). A son of world leader Dubawi, two years ago he won the best renewal of the 2,000 Guineas since 1971 when he defeated no fewer than eight G1 winners over the famous Rowley Mile at Newmarket. Night Of Thunder added a second G1 victory when he beat a high-class field to triumph in the Lockinge Stakes last May.
Teofilo makes a welcome return to the Kelvinside roster where he will stand at a fee of $44,000 (inc. GST). Sire of 10 G1 winners to date, including Doncaster Handicap winner Kermadec and Australian Guineas hero Palentino, Teofilo has been a hit in the sales ring this year with his yearlings selling for up to $340,000.
