Exciting Nadeem filly Total Attraction kept her unbeaten record intact on January 21, recording her third win in as many starts with a half-head victory at Flemington.
Stepping up both in distance and grade, the Peter Moody-trained filly toughed it out in impressive fashion, indicating that there are better wins on the horizon. Moody suggested a race like the G1 Australasian Oaks in South Australia would be an ideal option for the talented filly.
Bred by Woodlawn Park, Glastonbury Farms and Packaging Investments Australia, Total Attraction is the first foal of Endless Charm, a Lion Cavern half-sister to the G2-winning, G1-placed Infinite Grace and comes from the family of G1 WS Cox Plate winner Fields Of Omagh, G2 winner Malcolm, G3 winner King Brian and Listed winner Timeless Grace.
Endless Charm has a New Approach yearling filly that has been entered for the forthcoming Inglis Easter yearling sale, while Nadeem (pictured) has a handful of yearlings entered for the remainder of the Inglis Classic Sale.
The very next day, also in Melbourne, Reset produced an exciting prospect, when three-year-old colt Caton made his debut at Ballarat, recording stylish length victory.
The second foal of the Stakes-placed Desert King mare Mardi Gras, Caton was bred by Queensland-based breeder Mrs J. Wanless and comes from the family of Stakes winner Affirmed Star, Sea Button, Fairy Dance and Phaenna. Mardi Gras was covered by fellow Darley stallion Medaglia d’Oro this season.
Having one of his best seasons to date, producing G1 WS Cox Plate winner Pinker Pinker as well as Knight’s Tour and Cassini, Reset has eight yearlings catalogued for the Inglis Premier yearling sale including a full-brother to dual G1 winner Rebel Raider and a half-sister to this season’s G2 winner Chase The Rainbow.
