Making her debut on October 24, two-year-old Nadeem filly Triple Asset record a length win in The Tote Handicap in Hobart.
Jumping away from the inside gate, the John Keys-trained filly was always in contention, packing too much for her rivals on the line to defeat More Awesome and Oxy Angel.
Bred by Armidale Stud in Tasmania, the filly was the lone representative for her sire at last year’s Magic Millions Tasmania yearling sale where she was knocked down to trainer John Keys.
Triple Asset is out of the two-year-old performed Hennessy mare Caralowe and comes from the family of G1 Golden Slipper winner Marauding and other Stakes horses Bold Selection, Lake Alexandria, Springsteen, Iwan, Voodoo Beat and Latin News.
As the leading first-season sire at the Easter yearling sale with his first crop of yearlings, Nadeem’s progeny have hit the ground running, recording two winners from four runners to place him on top of the first-season sire table.
A winner of the G3 Maribyrnong Plate during the Melbourne spring of his juvenile season, Nadeem returned in the autumn to defeat a class line up in the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes, leaving Miss Finland and Wonderful World two-and-a-quarter lengths astern.
Nadeem is standing the current season at Darley Kelvinside at a fee of $22,000 including GST.
