Tax Evader broke through to win today after two previous placings at his first two starts but found the 1100m to his liking, scoring by nearly two lengths in a two-year-old handicap at Toowoomba. The Mick Nolan-trained colt is giving connections something to cheer about after they purchased the colt for $16,000 from last year’s Inglis Classic sale.
Ad Valorem, a G1-winning son of Danzig, has winners already in the northern hemisphere including Stakes winner Samaden and will have half a dozen yearlings offered at the upcoming Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in Sydney. Ad Valorem himself was an undefeated champion juvenile who went on to win the G1 Queen Anne as a four-year-old and now stands at Darley’s Kelvinside stud. In 2010 he covered a strong book of 112 mares.
