With nine individual Stakes winners, the unbeaten Zabeel stallion Reset provided back to back winners of the G2 Armanasco Stakes after the victory of Set For Fame last year and Pinker Pinker this year.
Settling in second last position in the field of ten, jockey Dwayne Dunn pulled the Greg Eurell-trained filly out wide to make her run as the field turned for home.
As she gathered in the field, Pinker Pinker went on to win the G2 event by a length-and-a-quarter from Sayahailmary, recording an extremely impressive time of 1.21.94, which is just outside Exceed And Excel’s course record.
Bred by Mr W Giovas and Mr C Gordon, Pinker Pinker is out of the winning Success Express mare Miss Marion, a three-quarter sister to the Stakes performer Sipowicz.
Pinker Pinker is the fifth individual Stakes winner this season for her G1 Australian Guineas-winning sire Reset, joining Set For Fame, Yourein, Avienus and Well Rounded.
Set to commence on February 28, Reset has 15 yearlings catalogued for the Inglis Premier yearling sale. Highlighted by lot 303, a half-sister to Lonhro Stakes winner Dysphonia, the Inglis Premier yearling sale was the place of purchase for Pinker Pinker a few years prior.
