Three-year-old Nadeem colt Specter claimed further Black type for his sire when he claimed the Listed Henry Bucks Stakes over 1400m at Flemington on September 3.
Trained by Anthony Freedman and ridden by Nicholas Hall, Specter will now continue on a Guineas campaign and has won twice from his three starts.
Bred by Makybe Breeding and out of a French mare Woman In White, Specter enjoyed cover throughout the journey in blustery conditions and showed strong determination to push through to win by a length.
The Champion two-year-old colt of his year and the nemesis of Miss Finland in the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes, blueblood Redoute’s Choice colt Nadeem was the equal leader of individual winners for a first-season sire last season.
Recently, three-year-old Nadeem filly Triple Asset took out two awards at Tasmanian Horse of the Year awards. Crowned the Champion Two-year-old of her year as well as the Tasbreeders Outstanding Filly or Mare, Triple Asset won four times from eight juvenile starts, highlighted by her G3 double in the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes at Flemington and then The Jansz over 1200m at Morphetville.
Standing the current breeding season at Darley Kelvinside at a fee of $22,000 (inc GST), Nadeem is already the sire of multiple G3-winning filly Triple Asset, New Zealand Stakes-performer The Aftershock and impressive winners Irish Times and Hundred Cube.
