Heresy scored her second win at Stakes level and gave sire of the moment Street Boss his 61st Black-Type success on Saturday, 2 April when she scorched down the outside to win the G3 PJ Bell Stakes over 1,200m at Royal Randwick in Sydney.
A winner of the G3 David Coles Stakes in Adelaide last year, Heresy spearheaded a first four for Godolphin gallopers when jockey Nash Rawiller brought her with a perfectly timed run to beat stablemates Zapateo (Brazen Beau), Arcaded (Street Boss) and Larkspur Run (Shamardal).
Heresy had finished just behind the placings in G1 and G2 company and appreciated the slight drop in grade for trainer James Cummings.
Heresyβs dam, Montsegur, won the Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes at G3 level in Melbourne in 2013 and the mare has a yearling filly by Blue Point and revisited the Irish-bred stallion just last November.
Street Boss was a dual G1 winner who won seven and was placed in four of his 13 race starts.
He is the sire of Australian champion three-year-old Anamoe, among the favourites for the $4 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick next Saturday.
At the recent Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, eight lots by Street Boss sold for an average of $213,750.
He has two lots in the 2022 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale catalogue at Riverside Stables, Warwick Farm from 5-6 April.
