Mirra Vision becomes Lonhro’s 92nd Stakes winner and 53rd Group winner, 20 years since his own famous Caulfield Guineas victory.
Previously Stakes placed, Mirra Vision was a favourite leading into the G3 Angst Stakes over 1600m on Saturday, 9 October and her performance was on par with the odds.
The mare jumped well from the barrier and set herself up early in the race under jockey Sam Clipperton. It was the 200-metre mark where she broke away from the pack to win with conviction for Peter and Paul Snowden.
Mirra Vision, bred by Bennalong Bloodstock, is out of the Stakes-winning Redoute's Choice mare Mirrasalo.
Lonhro continues to circulate his influence on Australian racing. It is twenty years this week since his own famous Caulfield Guineas victory making it a timely win for the promising mare, Mirra Vision.
Lonhro stands this season at Kelvinside, NSW at a fee of $66,000 (inc GST).
