Kevin Ryan’s charge broke well from the stalls and took up the running. He faced a strong challenge from Significantly as the field quickened for home but displayed a great attitude to just get up on the line and win by a short head.
Uncle Jumbo was bred by Mr D R Botterill and is out of Gone Sailing, also dam of smart Stakes-winning sprinter Major Jumbo. They are from the family of multiple G1 winner Foreteller.
