Lady Alida took the lead right out of the gate and never looked back as she scampered to a one-length victory in the $75,000 Treasure Coast Stakes at Gulfstream Park 13 July.
It was the first Stakes victory for the four-year-old filly by Street Boss, who has found success since being switched to the turf. The dark bay or brown filly has hit the board seven times in eleven starts on the turf.
Lady Alida was bred in Kentucky and races as a homebred for SJT Racing Stable LLC. She is out of the Deputy Minister mare, Day Of Obligation, and hails from the stellar family of Champion and Filly Triple Crown winner, Chris Evert and Confessional (G1 Frizette).
Lady Alida is the 33rd Stakes winner for her sire Street Boss. In addition to Lady Alida, Street Boss is the sire of 2019 Graded Stakes-placed performers Social Paranoia (2nd, G1 Belmont Derby Invitational, 3rd, G2 American Turf Stakes) and Manhattan Up (2nd, G2 Lazaro Barrera Stakes).
Street Boss will stand the 2019 breeding season at Northwood Park at a fee of $27,500 (inc. GST).
