A weanling half-sister to Champion Australian sprinter Santa Ana Lane has given her sire Frosted a red-carpet entry into the southern hemisphere market, selling for $300,000 at Friday’s final session of the Magic Millions National Weanling sale.
The filly from Frosted’s first Australian crop came into the ring as a supplementary entry to the catalogue consigned by Aquis Farm, but left it as one of the stars of the sale.
After opening at $100,000, bidding quickly reached the final figure paid by UK-based David Redvers’ Redwall Bloodstock.
The filly is out of the Fastnet Rock mare Fast Fleet whose only two foals to race include Santa Ana Lane who scored the most recent of his five G1 wins in last months TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick.
The family also includes the New Zealand G3 winner Blimey O’Reilly and the South African Stakes winners Doublemint and Petala.
