Three-year-old filly Beshaayir became the newest Black Type winner for her sire Iffraaj on 28 September when taking the Listed Rosemary Stakes at Newmarket.
Near the back of the field early in the one-mile race, Beshaayir finished strongly and pulled clear to win impressively by about two lengths over Queen of Time.
Bred by Exors Of The Late Sir Eric Parker, Beshaayir is out of the multiple Stakes winner and G2-placed Bahia Breeze.
Beshaayir is the eighth Black Type winner for her sire in 2018. Iffraaj’s other top performers this year include G1 Al Quoz Sprint and G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes winner Jungle Cat, G1 juvenile Melt, French G3 Prix la Force scorer Chilean, and Judicial, winner of the G3 Sprint Stakes at Sandown.
Iffraaj stands under the Darley banner at Haunui Farm in New Zealand at a fee of NZ$25,000 plus GST payable on a 42-day test.
