Godolphin racetrack stars from two hemispheres will test the bloodstock market for the first time in Australia during next week’s Magic Millions Broodmare Sale on the Queensland Gold Coast.
A broad selection of quality mares in foal to Astern, the multiple Stakes-winning son of Medaglia d’Oro, and Frosted, the brilliant son of champion American sire Tapit, will go through the ring during the four-day sale.
One of the highlights for the young Darley stallions will be Lot 1634, Element Of Danger, a sister of Australian Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy, who is in foal to Astern.
Element Of Danger, a winning daughter of Red Ransom, is also closely related to the Stakes winners Towkay, Danasinga, Cullen and Red Element and has produced three winners from her four foals to race.
Godolphin is also offering the Anabaa mare Key Bar Nights in foal to Astern as Lot 1147.
A Listed winner in Brisbane, Key Bar Knights is the dam of five winners from five foals to race, including Godolphin’s Stakes winner Barbed and the good city winner Tiki Bar.
Among others carrying foals by the G1 Golden Rose winner are Parfaits (Lot 1288), the dam of G1 Queensland Derby winner Sonntag and a half-sister to Ice Cream Sundae, a three-time Stakes winner and dam of G1 performer Flavour.
Among four mares being offered in foal to Frosted is Fast Fleet (Lot 1057), a daughter of Fastnet Rock and dam of recent G1 Darley Goodwood winner Santa Ana Lane.
Godolphin has also consigned the Galileo mare Mead (Lot 1201), in foal to it’s UK G1 winner Territories, a son of Invincible Spirit, who stood his first Australian season in 2017.
The dam of four winners, including the Stakes winner Solemn (Bernardini) and Honeywine (Street Cry), Mead herelf is the winner of two races.
Darley’s Australian G1 winner Holler will also be represented by two mares served in his first season.
