Wonder Gadot took the lead right out of the starting gate and never looked back as she rolled to a six-length victory in the G3 Mazarine Stakes at Woodbine.
The Mazarine marked the first Stakes victory for the two-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro, who entered the race off a strong third-place finish – defeated just three-quarters of a length – in the G1 Natalma Stakes last month.
Bred in Ontario by Anderson Farms, LLC, Wonder Gadot is out of the winning Vindication mare, Loving Vindication. Wonder Gadot is a full sister to Stakes winner Solemn Tribute, and she hails from the immediate family of Chimichurri, winner of the G3 Tempted Stakes, Champion Mashaallah and Folk Art, winner of the G1 Oak Leaf Stakes.
Medaglia d’Oro is having yet another tremendous season and has sired five G1 winners this year - Bolt d'Oro, Elate, Songbird, New Money Honey and Dickinson. Medaglia d'Oro's five G1 winners are more than any other sire in North America.
Medaglia d’Oro has just begun his latest southern hemisphere breeding season at Kelvinside for a fee of $110,00 inc GST.
