Highway Boss took the lead at the top of the stretch and pulled away to win the S.W. Randall Plate Handicap by seven lengths at Hastings Racecourse Sept. 9.
Settled in third through the early stages of the nine-furlong contest, the gelded son of Street Boss began to close on the far turn, sweeping past rivals and hitting the front at the top of the homestretch. He then pulled away for a convincing victory.
