Priceless, a four-year-old daughter of Exceed And Excel, landed her biggest contest so far on Saturday 27 May when taking the G2 Temple Stakes at Haydock Park. A tremendously fast filly, she was always close to the pace in the five-furlong contest and after going clear a furlong from home, held on gamely for a half-length triumph.
Now the winner of four races, today’s victory was Priceless’s first at Group level after a brace of Stakes victories at Bath and Doncaster.
Bred by Biddestone Stud, Priceless is a daughter of the winning Rudimentary-mare Molly Brown, who has produced eight winners including the G2 juvenile Doctor Brown.
Exceed And Excel has sired 22 Stakes horses already in 2017 including G1 performers Mr Stunning, Morawij and Folkswood as well as Group winners Championship, Heavy Metal and Mix And Mingle. He is standing this coming season at a fee of $110,000 Inc GST.
