Sepoy’s two-year-old daughter Unforgetable Filly looked to be a promising sort when second on her racecourse debut late last month and on 10 September, she justified odds-one favouritism in the seven-and-three-quarter-furlong maiden, winning in exciting fashion.
Soon in front under Jim Crowley, the Hugo Palmer-trained filly was never seriously challenged and once asked to quicken, moved further and further clear of her rivals and eventually won by seven lengths.
Unforgetable Filly is one of four winners from four foals to race out of the winning Oasis Dream mare Beautiful Filly. She is from the family of G1 winner Fire The Groom – herself dam of G1 July Cup and G1 Nunthorpe Stakes winner Stravinsky.
Sepoy is also sire of G3 winner Kilmah, plus Listed winner and Group-placed filly Baileys Showgirl. He also has a further three Black type performers to his name.
Sepoy stands at Kelvinside at a fee of $33,000 including GST.
