Ruling Dynasty, a four-year-old son of Medaglia d’Oro, recorded his maiden Stakes victory with a brilliant staying performance in the Listed Tattersalls Club Cup over 2400m at Randwick, October 17.
Aided by the inside barrier, jockey Tim Clark gave Ruling Dynasty the run of the race in behind the speed. The long-striding stallion gained a split after turning for home and worked home powerfully to score a solid win.
A homebred for Gooree Park Stud, Ruling Dynasty is the first Stakes winner for Listed-placed Thunder Gulch mare Makarova who hails from one of best families in the Australian Stud Book being a half-sister to Redoute’s Choice’s dam Shantha’s Choice.
Medaglia d’Oro is the sire of 81 Stakes winners worldwide, among them 14 G1 winners including Golden Slipper winner Vancouver and US Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra. He is standing at Kelvinside at a fee of $110,000 inc. GST.
