One of nine juvenile winners for Street Boss in 2015, Bebhinn becomes the third two-year-old Stakes winner for her sire this year with her victory in the Listed Blenheim Stakes at Fairyhouse Racecourse in Ireland on September 29th. Only one other U.S. sire has more two-year-old winners in 2015.
Bebhinn, named after a goddess in Irish mythology, tracked the leader in second in the race’s early going. She travelled well to lead over one furlong out and was ridden clear inside the final furlong in capturing her first career Stakes win.
Bred by Extern Developments, Ltd., in Kentucky, Bebhinn is out of the winning Hennessy mare Passion Overflow, a half-sister to G2 winners Fokine and Ocean Ridge as well as Listed winners My Redbyrd and Polar Circle.
Street Boss is the sire of 18 Black type performers to date in 2015, among them recent G2 Amsterdam Stakes winner Holy Boss and G3 El Camino Real Derby winner Metaboss. In Australia, his runners include the undefeated, promising, G3 winner Petits Filous. The stallion has also been represented by G1 winners Danza and Capo Bastone.
Street Boss is standing at Northwood Park at a fee of $11,000 inc. GST.
