Exceed And Excel colt wins like a future star
Over the same course and distance his father won a G1 Newmarket Handicap, three-year-old Exceed And Excel colt Kinglike announced himself as a star of the future with a brilliant victory in the G2 Danehill Stakes, September 12.
Having just his third career start and his first up the famous Flemington straight, Kinglike settled behind the speed in the early stages. Given clear running by jockey Glen Boss at the 300m mark, Kinglike quickly strode to lead and went on to record a dominant win.
