Chloe proves too classy
Lightly-raced Exceed And Excel mare Chloe In Paris claimed her first stakes success March 7, scoring an all-the-way win in the Listed Bob Hoysted Handicap up the Flemington straight.
G3-placed as a three-year-old on debut in 2013, Chloe In Paris made it three successive wins since returning from an injury-enforced spell. Flamberge, a G3-winning son of Exceed And Excel finished third.
A homebred for Des Pope, Chloe In Paris is out of G2-winning and G1-placed Rubiton mare Innovation Girl, also the dam of G3-placed The Original.
Exceed And Excel is the sire of 95 Stakes winners, among them nine G1 winners including record-breaking Caulfield Guineas winner Helmet, four-time G1 winner Guelph and Golden Slipper winner Overreach. His 20 entries for next month’s Inglis Easter Yearling Sale can be viewed here.
