A baker’s dozen worth of winners for Street Boss
Only one other first-crop sire has sired more juvenile winners in 2012 than Street Boss. Number 13 came in impressive fashion on October 26 at Woodbine racetrack in New York as daughter Call Me Perske stormed home to win by five and one-half lengths.
The chestnut filly bided her time in second-place tracking the leader until the top of the stretch. Follow some encouragement by her rider, she began to pull away and was well clear at the end of the six-furlong maiden event.
Call Me Perske was bred by Devonleigh Farm in Canada and is out of the very consistent producer Bacall, a daughter of Alysheba. Bacall is the dam of nine winners from nine starters, including Stakes-placed Silver Seven, dam of multiple Stakes winner Silver Baubles.
Street Boss is the sire of 12 additional winners, including undefeated Stakes winner Bosco, G1-placed Capo Bastone, additional Stakes perfomer Sheistheboss, as well as impressive Saratoga maiden winner Top Tier Lass.
Street Boss is currently standing the southern hemisphere season at Darley’s Victorian property Northwood Park at a fee of $11,000 (inc. GST).
