Our Entourage leads the way in Temperence Hill Stakes
Street Cry colt Our Entourage impressed October 21 at Belmont by winning the Temperence Hill Stakes at Belmont to become the sire's 58th Stakes winner.
The three-year-old colt patiently stalked the pace on the inside in the 1800m race. Going for home the son of Street Cry found an opening in between horses and took command with a furlong to go to secure the victory.
A US$350,000 yearling at Keeneland, Our Entourage is out of millionaire G1 winner Sand Springs. The colt is a half-brother to Mellon Martini, a Stakes winner and G3-placed runner in France.
As a sire, Street Cry is a potent source renowned for imparting both class and durability. He is the sire of 36 Graded/Group winners lifetime, which include G2 Ribblesdale Stakes winner Princess Highway at Royal Ascot this year. Having sired some of the best, his top runners include legendary Horse of the Year Zenyatta, G1 Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense, and multiple G1 winner Street Boss.
Standing the current southern hemisphere breeding season at Darley Kelvinside at a fee of $110,000 (inc. GST), Street Cry's current crop of two-year-olds are set to make their appearance on the racetracks of Australia this season.
