Proverb tells in Dulcify Quality
Darley-homebred Proverb showed plenty of heart to win the Listed Dulcify Quality over 1900m at Randwick and in doing so become the 49th Stakes winner for Commands.
Following the Group race treble in Sydney this month Commands with Epaulette, Lamasery and Ambidexter, the win by Proverb further extends Commands’s lead at the head of the Australian General Sires’ Table for this season and he also leads by stakes winners with five already, headed by G1 Golden Rose winner Epaulette.
Proverb is out of More Haste a half-sister to G2 Sandown Guineas winner Dextrous, the dam of G1 Champagne Stakes winner Skilled and recent G2 Theo Marks Stakes winner Ambidexter, with both those colts by Commands, and Skilled standing his first season at Darley Northwood Park.
More Haste has a 2011 filly by Commands.
Commands stands at Darley Kelvinside where his fee in 2012 is $55,000 inc. GST.
